FAQs About Rehab Treatment

Depending on the level of care needed, rehab can last anywhere from a week to a few months. Patients may start with medically supervised detox (~7 days) to overcome the symptoms of withdrawal. From there, patients may want to enter a live-in inpatient program to receive additional monitoring, therapies, and learn long-term strategies for dealing with addiction. Inpatient programs range from 30 days to 90 days and more.

The cost of rehab varies depending on the level of care needed, the length of stay, your insurance coverage, and more. In many instances, insurance may be able to cover all or at least part of the cost of rehab. Many rehabs also accept private pay, can help you with financing, or payment plans as well. The cost of treatment should not deter you from finding potentially life-saving treatment for you or a loved one.

Though it may be enticing to stay close to home for rehab, there are also benefits to traveling a little farther to receive the quality treatment you need. The benefit of going farther away for rehab is that you remove yourself from toxic, enabling, and triggering environments and people that may compel you to use. This will allow you to focus on your treatment, away from distractions. Additionally, insurance may also play a factor in which rehab you may attend as not all facilities may be able to take your insurance. American Addiction Centers can help you confirm your insurance coverage at our facilities, create a travel plan, and help you get to any of our rehab centers across the United States.

The best rehab program for you will depend on your situation. Things to look out for when choosing a rehab program are:

  • Whether the rehab center is accredited and the staff is licensed, certified, and qualified to treat addiction.
  • Whether the rehab center offers multiple levels of treatment to meet your needs. This may include detox, inpatient, residential, outpatient rehab, and more.
  • Whether insurance may be able to cover the cost of rehab.
  • Whether there are specialized treatment programs to meet your needs. Specifically programs for veterans as well as treatment for co-occurring disorders such as anxiety, depression, and PTSD.
  • Whether the rehab uses evidence based treatment.
  • Whether the rehab center offers 24/7 monitoring where needed.

You do not need to be a veteran to attend treatment at any of our rehab facilities.

About American Addiction Centers

American Addiction Centers (AAC) offers medical treatment and believable hope for veterans. We recognize that veterans face a unique set of challenges when seeking addiction treatment; AAC’s facilities are equipped to treat individuals with PTSD and other co-occurring mental health disorders.

Salute to Recovery is AAC’s veterans substance abuse program. The program is available at Desert Hope Treatment Center in Nevada and Recovery First Treatment Center in Florida. Salute to Recovery blends AAC’s medically informed, patient-centric approach to treatment with therapies that address co-occurring disorders that may affect military veterans. Most of the staff involved in Salute to Recovery are veterans or come from military families. This helps them connect with the veterans receiving treatment and help them move towards a life in recovery.

No veteran should have to suffer in silence. There are several methods to help you find peace and start your life in recovery.
